ResVitále Review

When I was first offered this product as a review, I wasn’t sure I would be interested but after checking out out what exactly it was I felt a personal need to include it in my daily habits. I mentioned in another health product review yesterday that my Dad talked a lot about vitamins and I can’t help but wonder if he would still be alive today if he had known about ResVitále.

I know all too well that my Dad knew about the benefits of red wine, he drank it in excess using the excuse that if one glass a day was healthy – the more the better! What if he had known that he could have had double the antioxidant benefits of 1000 glasses of red wine in every serving with ResVitále 500mg, without the damaging effects of alcohol?

Due to a hospitalization, alcohol was taken out of the mix. He was then diagnosed with dementia and I see Resveratrol provides protection against vascular dementia as well. If I haven’t lost you by this point, check out the information borrowed from the site below:

What is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a powerful polyphenol found in the skin, seeds, stem and vine of red wine grapes that provides significant antioxidant properties. Thought to serve as one explanation for the French Paradox – the idea that the French have a remarkably low incidence of heart disease despite a diet rich in high-fat foods – Resveratrol has over 2,000 associated clinical studies documenting the incredible benefits.

Harvard University biochemists believe that Resveratrol turns on the sirtuin gene, also known as the SIRT1 ‘longevity gene.’ By activating this gene, scientists believe Resveratrol mimics the effects of caloric restriction, which is thought to slow the aging process by limiting dietary energy intake. Resveratrol is also thought to slow many of the degenerative effects associated with aging and may potentially increase lifespan. Some of these health benefits may include protection from Alzheimer’s Disease, Arthritis, cardiac disease and certain forms of cancer.

Trans-Resveratrol, the bioactive form of the Resveratrol polyphenol, has been proven in clinical studies to activate SIRT1 and enhance cellular productivity. Trans-Resveratrol has also been shown to increase the number of mitochondria in cells, thus increasing energy capacity and enhancing sensorimotor function.

More on Resveratrol Research

I received three different products from ResVitále to review; 125mg capsules which is recommended for those of us in our 20′s and early 30′s, 250mg capsules which is recommended for those in their 30′s and 40′s, and their Beauty Sleep capsules which are 500mg.

My Review: I have been taking the Resveratrol for a little over a month now, I started with one 125mg capsule in the morning and one Beauty Sleep capsule at night. After two weeks I started taking two of the 125mg capsules a day. Now, I’m not sure I can say I feel any younger or that I feel I have more energy due to taking Resveratrol, but I haven’t had any negative side effects from taking them either. The capsules are all Vegetarian and Certified Organic

The Beauty Sleep formula is the one that really impressed me. Unlike a sleeping pill which knocks you out, these have helped me calm down and fall into the deep sleep I have needed – while leaving me able to be fully alert. The best way I can describe it is that if I am laying down and the house is dark and quiet, I can imagine my body relaxing and it’s almost as though I feel heavier as I drift off to sleep – though if I stay up, it doesn’t make me drowsy like a sleeping pill would.

September 18th is a significant day for me. You see, today would have been my Dad’s 72nd birthday and instead of celebrating it with him, I mourn his loss because he passed away in a nursing home with dementia at only 69 years of age. Like I said above if he had known about this product then he may have been here to celebrate it with us, and I sure hope that I will be around to celebrate past my 70th.

For your health, for now and for the future – I hope you will consider learning more about Resveratrol yourself and decide if one of the products from ResVitále is right for you and your family. If you want, you can follow them on Twitter or check out their blog for more information and tips.

ResVitále can be purchased from GNC, and you can use their store locator if you would like to find out where it is available in your area.
