Peacekeeper Cause-Metics Needs Our Help

If you’re a regular follower of BeautyJudy, you know that when I run press releases, it’s usually to share with you a new product or service or news about an industry event I’m about to attend.

I recently received news about a company, Peacekeeper Cause-Metics, that is in trouble after Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy, and this upset me. So many of my friends and family have been affected by this storm, and I am sad to hear that a worthwhile, quality brand is suffering, too. If you can spare some of your holiday gift-giving dollars to help this cosmetics brand get back on their feet and continue providing makeup with a cause to us beauty fanatics, well….their nail polish is amazing. And so is their story. (See here for a review and the story.)

Here’s the information you need to help:

PeaceKeeper Cause-Metics is the first make-up company to donate ALL of its profits, after taxes, to women’s health and human rights advocacy issues – and a crowd-sourced holiday shopping site is attempting to help the business stay afloat. Indiegogo is providing an online vehicle for PeaceKeeper to raise funds to keep the company in business, by selling holiday gift sets with PeaceKeeper’s few remaining undamaged goods. PeaceKeeper’s New York office was fully flooded during Hurricane Sandy and most of the inventory and all office computers were destroyed.
“To date, PeaceKeeper has donated close to $100,000 to urgent human rights issues. Please help us continue to support women in need by giving the gift of PeaceKeeper to your loved ones this season,” says PeaceKeeper Founder and social entrepreneur, Jody Weiss, in a press release.
You can help PeaceKeeper recover from Hurricane Sandy and continue to support their global women’s efforts and fair trade by ordering a Holiday Gift Box. Please click on the link here, and order for your friends, colleagues and family. Along with the gift boxes are other great extras with your increased order quantities.

PeaceKeeper Holiday Gift Sets include an Eco-Moist Lip Paint, “3-Free” Eco-Smooth Nail Polish (rated one of the safest paint-based nail lines by the Environmental Working Group), and a USDA-certified vegan YUM Balm. Retail price is $25.
