Congrats – Comment #447 – Snowflake07

For those who don’t know, I am a coffee ADDICT! I pretty much can not function without my morning cup or two. When I received this wonderful opportunity to review Newhall Coffee I was just ecstatic. I had heard such positive things about them, and was anxious to try out their coffee for myself.

Newhall Coffee was founded in 1994 by brothers Kyle and Mitch McMullen, born and raised in Newhall, California. What started as one small coffeehouse, Newhall coffee is now considered one of the premier coffees on the West Coast.

Newhall coffee uses only the highest quality Arabican beans in the world in small mirco batches. The company works closely with a few specialty coffee importers, diligently inspects each bag for quality, integrity, and taste, roasts their beans in small concentrated batches, and delivering their coffee quickly to insure the freshest cup around!

Newhall Coffee also donates a portion of every dollar received to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. They also generously support their Coffee For A Cause program!

I was sent a wonderful package of 6 different bags and varieties of Newhall Coffee to review and I was thrilled! When the package arrived the entire box smelled of delicious, fresh coffee before I had even opened it! Once I did open the box, the smell was that much more amazing.

Let me begin by saying I really loved all the fun, unique named of the blends. They made me smile, even that early in the morning. ALL 6 blends & varieties were absolutely delicious!! They all smelled and tasted fabulous, plus each gave me that morning caffeine boost I crave. I was sent these 6 varieties & brewed one pot of each variety, each day, to really savor, taste, and note every one.

Organic California Blend

Roasted to a full city roast to bring out the earthy and citrus notes of the Sumatra bean.

Organic California blend was very fresh and crisp. I could really taste the pureness of it. I honestly could taste all the earthy undertones.

Mammoth’s Bow- Chicka – Pow – Pow Blend

A double picked Sumatra bean roasted using a long roast method. Known for earthy and spicy notes. These have low acidity

Bow Chick Pow Pow was light and easy on the taste buds while still have a ton of flavor.

Beatnik Espresso Blend

A combination of 3 beans from Indonesia, South America, and Central America give this espresso roast a complex body with a very mild and clean finish

Beatnik Espresso blend was nice and strong, but not TOO strong or overpowering. Simply marvelous!
Surf and Snow Blend

Begins as a Brazilian Bean roasted to a city roast to enhance the caramel vanilla flavor

The Surf and Snow blend really had that caramel vanilla flavor. It was excellent and I think it would make the ideal and perfect coffee to pair with a nice dessert!
Earthquake Blend

Wake up California style with this high impact blend! Packs a very strong bite with a rolling mild finish

This blend was my favorite out of the 6! I love my coffee as strong as possible, and Earthquake blend will certainly put that hair on your chest in the exact way I crave.

Sunset Blvd. Blend

This combination of cinnamon and vanilla brings out the bright taste and body of this medium body and low acidity blend.

Despite it being summer here in Las Vegas, one sip of the Sunset Blvd blend brought my mind directly to winter time in an amazing, flavorful way. I could taste the amazing cinnamon and vanilla before I had even read the description. Excellent!
