New Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner

I look for a liquid eye liner that’s easy to use, pigmented, and that doesn’t wash away the second my eye tears up, whether I used contact lens rewetting drops, or I’m walking against the wind blowing at my face!

Milani has launched five new liquid eye liners, Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner, and I’m happy that in a 20+ block walk through a windy New York City last week, the waterproof formula held up against my watery eyes. I’m pretty impressed with the other features it has, too.

Check out a hand swatch:

Left to Right: Black Vinyl, Black Gems, Prismatic Purple, Emerald Glisten, Sparkling Turquoise.

And here’s a blurry swatch, to show you how cool the sparkle is in Black Gems:

The applicator tip is an ultra fine felt-tip point:

How about some swatches?!

Black Vinyl:

Black Vinyl is a great, standard black eye liner. I paired it here with some Milani single shadows and Jesse’s Girl Lipstick in Fabala.

Black Gems:

Black Gems is a pretty sparkle – although on the eye the sparkle is much more subtle than in my hand swatch, as you can see. I paired it with Jesse’s Girl Lipstick in Ruby Too here. I can’t remember what eyeshadow but it was a neutral shimmer!

Sparkling Turquoise:

My face of the day was very plain the day I wore  Sparkling Turquoise – no eye shadow and some simple face makeup and mascara. But this is a beautiful bright blue liner. While these are pigmented, I definitely had to go over the line I drew a couple times to get the vibrancy I wanted to see.

Emerald Glisten:

I think Emerald Glisten is my favorite of these new liners. I love this green! I’m wearing it with MAC Cosmetics Archie’s Girls eye shadow palette in Caramel Sundae and Milani Color Statement lipstick in Pink Frost.

Prismatic Purple:

Prismatic Purple is another pretty liner. I paired it here with a variety of shadows – Aromaleigh, Evil Shades and Bare Minerals. It was another liner that I had to reapply a couple times to get the vibrancy to show.

Milani recommends that you shake the eyeliner before you use it. I had no real issues in moving it at the end of the day (and yes, sometimes the next morning…). And like I said, it held up to my eyes tearing!

Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner retails for $7.49. I linked to the Milani website in the beginning of the post where you can find these for sale. They should also pop up where Milani is sold.

I think Black Gems and Emerald Glisten are the clear winners for me! The only downside to these is that they aren’t as intensely pigmented as I was expecting. They require a couple applications to get there. But it’s not a big deal and they’re easy to use.

What do you think of these liners? Have you seen them yet or tried them? Milani is kicking butt this year in their new launches!
