Jessica Spicy Dream Fall 2022

Jessica has come out with a six-piece fall polish collection that for me, really translates changing leaves, Halloween and autumn night onto the nail!

Spicy Dream is as warm as a chiminea fire in the backyard, with a variety of colors that you might see on Thanksgiving table clothes and fall decorations in your neighbor’s window.

Swatching these got me excited for the cooler nights to come – the cooler nights and days that are already peeking into the end of summer here in South Jersey!

How about a peek?!

Champagne Bubbles:

Champagne Bubbles is a glitzy gold and silver that flashes on the nail. This one definitely requires a small wait between coats, as I applied the second too quickly and it got bubbly and looked weird.

Crimson Tattoo:

Crimson Tattoo is a gorgeous vampy red creme that shines like patent leather on the nails. Probably dupable, but a beautiful staple for fall and winter.

Brown Sugar:

Brown Sugar is a gorgeous chocolate brown with the slightest pink shimmer. It reminds me of my beloved, discontinued OPI Route Beer Float, but without the chemicals! The formula on this is great.

Gingersnap is…gold…brown…reddish…greenish…GORGEOUS. Definitely a winner.

Pumpkin Delight:

Pumpkin Delight is a similar shade to Gingersnap, but orange/copper based. It has hints of gold and green in it, and shimmers a deeper copper. It’s another stunner!

Cinnamon Kiss:

Cinnamon Kiss is a one of those lit-from-within polishes that has a gorgeous glow to it. It’s a red shimmer with golden hints and a warm, orange-red glow. Absolutely stunning, as well. I thought it might look close to one of OPI’s polishes from the Germany collection, German-icure by OPI, so I did a quick swatch to see if they were dupes:

As you can see, they are close, but Cinnamon Kiss has a little bit of a darker red base than German-icure by OPI. Both have amazing shimmer and shine.

Overall, this collection is beautiful, richly pigmented and a very fall-like collection. It’s got something for the woman who likes a classic fall red manicure, and the woman who likes a little trend and shimmer to her mani.

I found application a breeze, except with Champagne Bubbles, which does require a little dry time before second coat application. But all of these polishes are shown in two coats, which is my ideal! Also, I like the mix of finishes.

My only gripe about these polishes…is that I wish Jessica was more widely available. I wish we could buy it at Sephora or Ulta. It’s a salon brand that you can purchase from the Jessica website (I haven’t seen this particular collection posted yet!), and you may find in salons and spas internationally, but I find it harder to get in person than other brands. I did find some listings on These should be available through Jessica’s site soon! Other Jessica polishes retail for $7.50.

So what do you think of Spicy Dream? Does it get you thinking about fall too? Which colors jump out at you?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
