Influenster Holiday Vox Box 2022

I didn’t quite know what to expect when I got my first box from Influenster. I received the Holiday VoxBox 2012, which had a selection of items from oatmeal to a hair brush.

Influenster is a service for active social media users. As a member, you are offered rewards, which you can take or leave. I choose this one. The idea is that when you do accept a reward, you try out and offer opinions (through social media!) on the products sent to you.

My Holiday VoxBox included: a $25 coupon towards my first pair of shoes on Sole Society with the code INFLUENSTER25 (you can use this too – expires 1/31/13), Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal, NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City, Kiss Nail Dress in a leopard print, Vitalizelabs EBOOST in Pink Lemonade and a Goody QuikStyle Brush (paddle).

Here’s my take on the items I received!

Vitalizelabs EBOOST:

I’ve tried EBOOST in the past, and enjoyed it. It is a tasteful way to give your immune system a “boost,” especially if you are traveling a lot or around a lot of sick people at work/school etc. I was unable to try this, because mine had a tiny cut at the bottom where the powder was coming out (didn’t start coming out until I moved the cut with my fingers…I just tend not to want to try things that aren’t totally sealed when I get them. This cut could be my fault, but I don’t know so I won’t chance it) and also, I’m on Medifast and therefore my diet is restricted! Every calorie counts.

Retails for $28 for a box of 20, $39 for a box of 30 or $39 for a box of 12 shots.

Kiss Nail Dress:

I’m looking forward to trying out these nail appliques. These products have come a long way since they came out, and I do love the convenience and ease of applying them. These are good for toes and nails, and are supposed to peel off slowly instead of requiring nail polish remover. I’ll post a review later, when I’ve had a chance to try them out.

Retails for $6.99

Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal:

Quaker Oatmeal is my favorite. And I wish I could try this, but I can’t because of Medifast. I will give it to Mike, and I guarantee, he will like it. I can tell you that I would have loved it, but if I can’t break my diet to do taste testing for my wedding, I’m not doing it for oatmeal.

Retails for $1.79 a cup

Goody Quik Style Paddle Brush:

I posted a pic of this on Instagram and a lot of people responded that they’ve been hunting for this brush! I used it immediately, I was so excited. I didn’t think it was particularly more absorbent, after towel-drying my hair, however, I loved how it sped up the styling process. The back of my hair is dryer much quicker when I use this brush!

I will look for it in a round shape, though, because my hair needs a round brush for styling and the paddle didn’t do a very good job of achieving my hair look. But it DID help dry it!

Retails for $11.99

NYC Liquid Lip Shine:

I’ve tried out NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshines before and they are a typical gloss. Not too sticky. This color is a little too boring for me, but it smelled strongly of vanilla, I think it is. It’s a nice smell and it doesn’t stick around horribly long. I own a couple of these glosses in brighter colors.

Retails for $2.49

Sole Society:

Sole Society launched in March 2011, offering trendy hip shoes for $49.95 and up.

The coupon offers a nice savings off your initial purchase, but I’m not sure if I’m going for it, I’ve got a wedding to save for!

Overall, I thought the products were good. I wish I could try that oatmeal, damnit! LOL
