People ask me everyday what was the strongest product that I have taken to lose weight the fastest. I took
Prothinspo’s Hydroxylim/ Diet Slim…I chose this product because of two studies…. The first studied showed
a more rapid and effective weight loss than other diet products.This study set out to determine the efficacy
of a calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia alone and in combination with niacin-
bound chromium and a standardized Gymnema Sylvestre Extract on weight-loss parameters in human
volunteers. I know blah blah, but In a double-blind fashion, 60 moderately obese individuals were
randomly assigned to three groups.
Group 1 received just calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia.
Group 2 received the Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract.
Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects received a 2000 kcal/day diet, participated in supervised walking
five times per week, and took their assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes before meals.
Test measurements were then performed throughout the study, evaluating changes in bodyweight, body
mass index (BMI), appetite, blood lipids, and markers of fat oxidation.
After 8 weeks, Group 1 lost an average of 10 pounds, Group 2 lost 12.54 pounds, and the placebo group
lost 3.53 pounds. At 8 weeks, both Group 1 and 2 were found to have lost significantly more weight than
the placebo group. A reduction in appetite was also demonstrated in both Group 1 and 2. In addition, both
Group 1 and 2 showed a significant increase in indicators of fat breakdown. It was concluded that
supplementation with the combination of (-)– hydroxycitric acid (HCA-SX), niacin-bound chromium, and
Gymnema Sylvestre Extract can help people with weight management. Very Cool Huh? So there is more…
The next study was an 8 week study….In this 8-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human
trial, 30 moderately obese subjects were divided into three groups. Group 1 received just the
calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia. Group 2 received Garcinia cambogia
extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract. Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects
were placed on a 2000 kcal/day diet; ingested the assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes
prior to meals; and participated in supervised walking five times per week. At the end of 8 weeks, Group 1
lost, on average, 12.1 pounds. Group 2 lost, on average, 14.99 pounds. Group 3 lost, on average, 3.06
pounds. At the end of the study period, weight-loss values in both Group 1 and Group 2 were significantly
greater than in the placebo group. Moreover, the placebo group showed a slight increase in food
consumption, while the HCA groups both showed a significant reduction in appetite compared to placebo.
Based on the results from this study, it was concluded that the unique HCA extract used in this trial, either
alone or in combination with Gymnema Sylvestre Extract and niacin-bound chromium, is effective in
helping control appetite, increase fat oxidation, and promote weight loss.

1.Drink up. Boosting your water intake can work wonders. Water flushes waste out of your system and
helps get things moving if you’re constipated—a frequent cause of bloating, especially in pregnant
women and new moms. And don’t forget to eat lots of fruits and veggies, because they’re about 80 to 90
percent water. Oranges and watermelon are two great options.
2.Eat more fiber. Fiber prevents constipation by adding bulk, which helps everything move through the
intestines more quickly. Women need at least 25 grams of fiber daily, yet most of us get barely half that
amount. To fix the fiber shortage, start your morning with a bran cereal that has at least five grams of
fiber per serving. Throughout the day, snack on other high-fiber foods like strawberries, blueberries,
dried apricots, and dried plums. But be careful that you don’t add too much fiber too fast, or you’ll feel
even more bloated than before. Your body needs time to get used to processing the increased bulk.
3.Outsmart PMS. Increases in progesterone, estrogen, and prostaglandins right before your period can
slow digestion and cause water retention, making you sluggish and bloated. To relieve symptoms, cut
back on excess salt, especially in the week before your period. Taking 1,000 milligrams of calcium a day
may also help alleviate premenstrual bloating, according to some experts.
4.Plan ahead. If you’ve got an important meeting coming up and want to feel your best, try popping an
over-the-counter anti-gas product before your meals that day. Products like Phazyme and Gas-X contain
simethicone to break up gas bubbles—though they don’t work for everyone. Steer clear of antacids and
calcium supplements containing bicarbonate or carbonate, which can cause gas and make bloating

contain sugars that are difficult for some people to digest. But you don’t have to give them up entirely.

and eat smaller amounts of food at each sitting. One of the easiest ways to reduce the amount of air you
swallow: Chew with your mouth closed.
9.Consider going natural. Although there’s no definitive study on the effectiveness of natural products for
relieving bloating, some remedies may be worth a shot. Peppermint capsules, available at health-food
stores and pharmacies, may relieve bloating by relaxing digestive muscles. Peppermint also comes in
enteric-coated tablets, since the capsules have been known to irritate some people’s stomachs. Dr.
Schorr-Lesnick also suggests charcoal capsules like CharcoCaps, which absorb gas and can help
relieve bloating for some people.
10.Monitor your meds. Numerous over-the-counter and prescription drugs, such as antidepressants,
antihistamines, iron pills, and calcium supplements with bicarbonate or carbonate, can cause
constipation and bloating, especially when you first start to take them. Talk to your doctor about the side
effects of any medications or supplements you take so you know the potential pitfalls.

calcium (1,200 mg a day) and magnesium (200 to 400 mg daily) in your diet; both
nutrients have been found to help relieve PMS symptoms such as bloating. You can
also pop Midol, which contains two mild diuretics.
To help evacuate gas, says Raymond, try massaging your abdomen in the direction
of your GI tract: Press your fingers near your right hip; slide up toward the ribs,
across and down near your colon in a circular motion. Sounds weird — but it works!
Nibble on Parsley
Add fresh, chopped parsley — another natural diuretic — to meals.
Pop a Probiotic
These “good bacteria” (found in supplements and in cultured milk products such as
yogurt) can keep you regular and bloat-free, Gazzaniga-Moloo says. In fact, women
with irritable bowel syndrome — characterized by abdominal pain, bloating,
constipation, and/or diarrhea — who took the probiotic strain B. infantis for four
weeks noticed less bloating than those on a placebo, one study shows. Check
labels for this strain (which can be found in the supplement Align), or find a similar
strain in Dannon Activia yogurt.
