Cosmoprof 2022: Jesse’s Girl

(Jesse’s Girl Mineral Rush powder)

Jesse’s Girl had a great booth at Cosmoprof North America this year (held in Las Vegas, July 22-24), with vlogger and Jesse’s Girl collaborator Julie G, and makeup artist Rebecca Rachael, both of whom did makeup for conference goers.

(Julie is posing with Rebecca’s makeup artist creation, the Brush Sleeve.)

Of the many products the brand sells, I was most excited to see that the brand is repackaging and relaunching its Liquid Glass lip glosses in December. The first pic is a close-up of the glosses, and below that is a shot of the glosses with two examples of the old glosses on the right. I love the new look! Also, a few of these are color dupes for some of the OCC Lip Tars:

I love those glowy ones – I have all of Inglot’s glowy glosses and they are fun to slightly transform other colors.

In addition to larger, rounder tubes, the applicators will now be a brush, vs. the doe-foot in the old packaging.

Right now, Jesse’s Girl has out the Rock Star collection:

It includes neon polishes, mirror compacts and mini nail kits, as well as Liquid Glass glosses that look like a sheer, nonopaque neon.

The compacts are really cute and glittery!

This year Jesse’s Girl has been growing by leaps and bounds, and has found new retailers to sell its products including ShopRite grocery stores and Wakefern. Jesse, the founder, said there are a lot of great things in the works at Jesse’s Girl and I have no doubt! I’ve gotten to know Jesse’s daughter over the last year, and I feel like this brand is so much more than nail polish and lip gloss, it’s a family affair. I love a business’ story and background!

It’s also great to see this brand get press in magazines and through the beauty blogging community – Jesse said over the last year they’ve been featured in six or seven magazines!

After having a year of praise and growth, the brand plans to introduce a new line of 12 lipsticks in the coming year, as well as six three-pan eyeshadow palettes. I’ve reviewed Jesse’s Girl shadow palettes before, and I’m impressed with the quality of the shadow over my shadow primer!

Julie G continues her line with Jesse’s Girl, and said the opportunity to collaborate and create her own polish line has been “unexpected,” and that she started out “just filming videos in my room.

“I needed an avenue to share (so I) went to YouTube. People responded well.” Julie G now has over 400,000 subscribers and a very popular line of 27 nail polish shades that look like this:

Julie said Julie’s Fave is her favorite color from her line, a lovely coral color that she said will look great across skin tones. All the polishes are named with some meaning. For example, Chic Cipro is named after the Metro Stop in Rome that she used while she was an international business student in Italy. Although becoming an investment banker has been put aside for now, Julie G is quite the entreprenaur, and I can’t wait to see if/when her line expands!

Have you tried Julie G polish yet? I tried it earlier this summer and loved it! I also received three other colors at Cosmoprof and I will have a separate post to review those! I am really impressed with formula, application and color selection.

Tip: If you can’t find Jesse’s Girl in your area, you can purchase through the brand’s website.

So have you ever tried Jesse’s Girl? Have you tried Julie G’s nail polish line? What color do you love?!
