Brunch at Point Royal in The Diplomat Beach Resort

Fun fact: I LOVE brunch.

So when The Diplomat Beach Resort invited me and a few other bloggers to brunch at their newly opened restaurant, Point Royal, I jumped at the chance!

I was enamored the second that I stepped into the lobby. They recently renovated and the décor is simply stunning. The beachy yet sophisticated aesthetic made this place total home décor #goals.

While the ocean views, 2 gorgeous pools, and luxurious spa are all amazing— it’s the diverse dining options that really make this place shine.

Food & Drink Options at The Diplomat Beach Resort

Point Royal-

This restaurant, by famous chef Geoffrey Zakarian, is a delicious buffet by morning and delectable seafood restaurant, with the properties only raw bar, by night.

I was lucky enough to sample my way through the amazing array of food on offer during breakfast/brunch. Trust me, this is not like any self-serve hotel buffet you’ve been to before.

Some of the highlights were the biscuits with fried chicken & gravy, fresh made-to-order omelets, iced donuts and a delicious avocado & tomato salad.

I’ve heard that the dinner menu is even better! I can’t wait to come back and check it out.

Point Royal is open for breakfast from 6:30 AM- 11:30 AM and for dinner from 5:30 PM -10 PM (11 PM on Fridays & Saturdays). Calling ahead for a reservation is recommended.

Counter Point-

Don’t feel like making it out of bed in time breakfast at Point Royal or just want a quick bite so you can hit the pool- Counter Point is your go-to!

This convenient quick-service location is an extension of Counter Point, so you can expect commitment quality but also convenience. With an array pastries, salad and sandwiches there is something for everyone. Wash it down with some coffee, fresh juice, or smoothie and you’re good to go!

Counter Point is open from 6 AM to 10 Pm every day.

Bristol Burgers-

I haven’t tried it myself but I know this place makes an amazing burger! How do I know? The restaurant finished in 2nd place in the “People’s Choice” category at Burger Bash during 2017 South Beach Food & Wine event.

I’m dying to head back (when I’m not stuffed from brunch) and try one myself! And I hear they make a mean milkshake.

Bristol Burgers is open from 5 PM-11 PM Monday –Friday and 12 PM-11 PM on Saturdays & Sundays. They have an amazing $5 Happy Hour deal at 5 PM every day.

This adorable wine & beer garden is the perfect place to spend an evening outdoors. Serving over 20 beers, wines & cocktails there is something for everyone. If you get hungry, there are some delicious Italian small plates and pizzas to munch on.

Portico has live music on Fridays and Saturdays and is open from 5 PM to 11 PM daily.

Splash Poolside Grill & Bar-

Splash’s fun beach theme is complimented with a menu full of vacation classics like hot dogs, burgers and light salads. The selection is perfect for treating yourself poolside!

Splash is open every day from 11 AM- 5 PM for their normal menu and then they serve a heartier dinner menu from 5 PM to 10 PM.

Heard whispers that this restaurant might be getting a Mexican food makeover—so stay tuned!

Diplomat Prime-

The décor of this restaurant stole my heart before I even got to glance at the menu! This boutique steakhouse, with its tall windows and gorgeous place settings, offers fresh seafood and prime beef along with a robust wine and bar list.

Diplomat Prime is open from 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM. Reservations are recommended.

The Hotel Bar-

The Hotel Bar is fun for any traveler that loves a good cocktail! The bar features famous fresh juice based cocktails from hotels around the world—such as the Singapore Sling and the Nacional Cocktail!

They even have a passport menu that features information about each of these cocktails. It’s definitely a great way to cap off your day at the resort!

The Hotel Bar is open from 11AM to 2 AM daily and has live music Friday & Saturday nights from 10 AM- 12 AM.

The Diplomat Beach Resort truly has something for everyone!
