Barielle Sweet Treats for Spring 2022
Disclaimer: Press samples. See below for more.
There are two colors that are hot for me this spring season: green and yellow.
I’m very obsessed with yellow polish – shimmers, cremes…I want them all on my fingers! I picked up a couple yellow polishes earlier this week at the International Beauty Show (IBS) and International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC)! And then there’s green – I have always loved green, and I dig the popular Pantone Color of the Year emerald green, but I am really feeling brighter, lighter greens right now.
Barielle‘s Sweet Treats collection for spring is a five-piece set of the brand’s take on the season’s trendy colors, and I was happy that the yellow and green hit the spot for me!
But I am curious – do you have these kinds of color cravings, too?! I do the same thing with lipstick – right now I’m all about pink, red and peachy lippies!
How about swatches?!
Lilac Jelly Bean:
Lilac Jelly Bean is a dusty lilac creme. Sorry for the pooling at my cuticle on my ring finger; I know better but I honestly didn’t see it at the time! This shade works well as a work appropriate hue, but it’s also stylish. I wore it on its own – and surprisingly, on a day off from work!
Orange Parfait is a another seasonably popular shade, an orange creme. It’s soft and sweet. This is another one that worked really well with my skin tone.
Blue Cotton Candy:
Blue Cotton Candy is a cadet blue with lots of white shimmer; if you look closely there’s also tiny bits of pink and blue shimmer, but it really comes across more white. Of course the sun played hide-and-seek when I took my photos so I’ve got natural light and shade and they don’t look that far off.
Green Apple Chew:
Green Apple Chew is one of my favorites from the collection, and the first one I wore! It’s like a sour apple color, a hyper spring green shade. I paired it with some square studs in blue and gold for some simple nail art!
Banana Drop is an Easter yellow creme, bright and light! This was one of my other favorites from the collection.
Overall, I liked the color selection for spring; I thought Blue Cotton Candy for spring was an interesting shade that I might immediately think, “fall,” but it works. I can’t wait to work in some nail art with it and some of the other colors, like Banana Drop and Green Apple Chew!
I found the formula on some of the to be a bit thick, so I used thinner coats when applying. I didn’t quite feel like they needed thinner. The brush is easy for me to work with; I find the length of the brush/cap to be perfect for application control.
Sweet Treats can be found on Barielle’s website for $8 each (each polish is .45 fl oz). Polishes are buy one, get one 50% off; you could get all five for $32. The brand offers free shipping for orders over $50. They do not ship internationally.
What do you think of Sweet Treats? What do you think of Barielle in general? A couple of my favorite polishes are Barielle – Jess’ Champagne Toast is one!
