People ask me everyday what was the strongest product that I have taken to lose weight the fastest. I took
Prothinspo’s Hydroxylim/ Diet Slim…I chose this product because of two studies…. The first studied showed
a more rapid and effective weight loss than other diet products.This study set out to determine the efficacy
of a calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia alone and in combination with niacin-
bound chromium and a standardized Gymnema Sylvestre Extract on weight-loss parameters in human
volunteers. I know blah blah, but  In a double-blind fashion,
60 moderately obese individuals were
randomly assigned to three groups.
Group 1 received just calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia.
Group 2 received the Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract.
Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects received a 2000 kcal/day diet, participated in supervised walking
five times per week, and took their assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes before meals.
Test measurements were then performed throughout the study, evaluating changes in bodyweight, body
mass index (BMI), appetite, blood lipids, and markers of fat oxidation.
After 8 weeks,
Group 1 lost an average of 10 pounds, Group 2 lost 12.54 pounds, and the placebo group
lost 3.53 pounds. At 8 weeks, both Group 1 and 2 were found to have lost significantly more weight than
the placebo group. A reduction in appetite was also demonstrated in both Group 1 and 2. In addition, both
Group 1 and 2 showed a significant increase in indicators of fat breakdown. It was concluded that
supplementation with the combination of (-)– hydroxycitric acid (HCA-SX), niacin-bound chromium, and
Gymnema Sylvestre Extract can help people with weight management.
 Very Cool Huh? So there is more…
The next study was an 8 week study….In this 8-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human
trial, 30 moderately obese subjects were divided into three groups. Group 1 received just the
calcium/potassium salt of 60% HCA extract from Garcinia cambogia. Group 2 received Garcinia cambogia
extract, chromium polynicotinate, and Gymnema sylvestre extract. Group 3 received a placebo. All subjects
were placed on a 2000 kcal/day diet; ingested the assigned test supplements 3 times daily, 30 to 60 minutes
prior to meals; and participated in supervised walking five times per week. At the end of 8 weeks, Group 1
lost, on average, 12.1 pounds. Group 2 lost, on average, 14.99 pounds. Group 3 lost, on average, 3.06
pounds. At the end of the study period, weight-loss values in both Group 1 and Group 2 were significantly
greater than in the placebo group. Moreover, the placebo group showed a slight increase in food
consumption, while the HCA groups both showed a significant reduction in appetite compared to placebo.
Based on the results from this study, it was concluded that the unique HCA extract used in this trial, either
alone or in combination with Gymnema Sylvestre Extract and niacin-bound chromium, is effective in
helping control appetite, increase fat oxidation, and promote weight loss.

Tips to Ease Digestion

1. Eat at regular meals times.
It is important to be regular with what you eat and the times of day
you eat. Eating similar food groups and at similar times each day has
a regulating effect on your digestive system. Regular in means
regular out.

2. Drink warm or hot liquids with your meal.
Ice cold drinks can slow down the digestive process; think of it as
putting ice on a muscle. The muscle stiffens and does not function
as well. Warm or room temperature water, juice, or decaffeinated tea
will encourage proper digestion. (Just keep in mind the traffic jam
discussed in #6 below – i.e. drink liquids prior to meals.)

3. Be conscious of what you eat and your portion sizes.
Over consumption is the number one cause of indigestion. Our
brain signals the feeling of fullness about ten minutes after we’re
actually full. So stop eating before you are full. Odds are you’ll feel
full ten minutes later!

4. Chew your food completely and don’t talk while eating.
Incomplete chewing and talking while eating can cause premature
swallowing. Our digestive systems are not designed to digest large
pieces of food, so putting large pieces in our stomachs can lead to
incomplete digestion (aka: digestive discomfort). The digestive
process starts with chewing, which naturally churns the food.

digestive process.

5. Relax while eating your meal.
Eating when you are rushed increases your stress and slows down
the digestive process. Create a nice calming atmosphere while
eating. It also helps to make sure you can devote time to eating
since doing so will help implement all the 10 tips to improve
digestion.

6. Eat in order of digestibility.
You should eat the easiest to digest foods first in each meal, and
slowly move towards the more complex. Think of a highway; if the
slowest cars are in front they’ll hold up the faster vehicles behind
them and cause a traffic jam. The same goes for your food. Eat those
fastest to digest first, and save the tougher to digest foods for the
second half of your meal.

Here are the time sequences for different food groups:

Water and juices: 20 to 30 minutes
Fruits, smoothies, soups: 30 to 45 minutes
Vegetables: 30 to 45 minutes
Beans, grains, starches: two to three hours
Meat, fish, poultry: three or more hours

7. Practice good posture.
When you slouch or hunch over, extra pressure is put on the
digestive organs in your abdomen. This extra pressure can lead to
poor digestion. You should practice sitting with your shoulders back
and your chin tucked in. This will allow more room for the digestive
organs and will help improve digestion.

8. Don’t eat late at night.

Choosing organic foods is a great way to reduce the number of

Any grain that has been ground ought to be used in moderation.
This means avoiding cakes, breads, cookies, and other baked
goods. The biggest problem with eating grains that have been

How It’s Done
1) Preparation for a Juice Fast – 3 Days Before – Although it can be tempting to
jump into a juice fast, preparation is essential because it affects how a person
responds to the cleanse. Certain foods, such as coffee, sugar, meat, dairy,
alcohol, and wheat are phased out to reduce headaches, cravings, and other
withdrawal symptoms. It’s also important to up your intake of fresh vegetables
during the pre-fast.
2) 3-5 Day Juice Fast – During the actual fasting days, approximately 32 to 96
ounces of juice is suggested, with at least half of the juice being green
vegetable-based. Green vegetables are rich in chlorophyll, which is said to help
cleanse and heal the digestive tract.
This is a typical day on a 3 day juice fast:

  Upon rising: lukewarm water with lemon
  Green vegetable juice
  Beet, carrot, apple juice
  Green vegetable juice
  Almond or cashew “milk”

Drink a glass of room temperature or lukewarm water in between each juice to
promote elimination.
To optimize the absorption of nutrients, drink each juice slowly rather than
gulping it down. Juices should be consumed approximately one to two hours
apart. The final beverage of the day should be at least three hours before
bedtime.
Fruits and vegetables used to make the juices often include celery, kale, carrot,
cabbage, apple, spinach, beets, and leafy greens. Avocados and bananas don’t
juice well, and the pits of peaches, apricots, cherries and other fruit, apple
seeds, carrot and rhubarb tops, and tough skins of kiwi, pineapple and mangos
should be avoided. Organic produce is best, but if it’s unavailable, a fruit and
vegetable wash (often available in health food stores) may help to remove some
pesticide residues. People often find it easiest to juice at the beginning or end
of the day and to make enough for one full day. Although juice should be
consumed as close to the time of juicing as possible, juice can be stored
covered in glass or BPA-free cups or bottles.
If hunger pangs are persistent or uncomfortable, vegetable broth or a small
snack such as carrots, celery, a salad, or a piece of fruit is often suggested. If it
is a person’s first time on a juice fast, a modified juice fast that includes a salad
each day for lunch or dinner may be recommended.
3) Breaking the Juice Fast – After the juice fast is complete, food is usually

be surprised that your stomach will no longer accept the portion sizes that you
ate in the past. In fact, it has shrunk.
Remember that the whole idea is to build health, so understand that you will not
go back to your excessive ways of eating. A half of a pizza and a half gallon of
coke are things of your past. This is not to say that you will ‘never’ eat these
foods again, They will just not be a staple in your diet. When you do ‘indulge’ it
will be limited and controlled. You will not feel guilty if you plan to depart from
your diet now and then.
Set a plan, Declare to yourself that you will allow a certain favorite food only
every so often. In my case, I allowed myself to have a soft ice cream cone once a
month during the summertime. This kept me from feeling sorry for myself and
gave me real control. I didn’t feel guilty because I had not violated my diet plan.
This past year, I didn’t have any soft ice cream. It has lost its attraction to me and
I really don’t miss it.
I have finally taken comfortable control of this part of my life, and I like it.
Please don’t panic and think that you will never enjoy foods again. You will enjoy
foods, good foods, and you will prefer it to be this way. A friend who made this
change, said to me, “I will never go back to my old ways of eating. Why would I
ever want to feel like that again?”
This is the prospect that awaits you. Those who achieve this success are very
glad that they did. I know one lady who, regardless of how hard she tried, could
not lose her ‘belly’. After the correction to her diet, she is perfectly slim, athletic,
and very happy with herself and her life. This is all because, instead of counting
calories, she is properly nourishing her body and her body is responding
according to the blueprint that she carries in every cell for a health body, her
DNA code.
Your DNA is struggling to do the same thing for your body. Give it the nourishing
resources that it needs and it will do the same for you.
Okay so with that all said, lol…. Here are some of my recipes and tips..
Of course, you will want to use fruits at their juicy best. I see people eating hard
pears, peaches and plums. They may look pretty but they lack the flavor and
nutrition, the ‘deliciousness’ of the fully ripened fruit. Most commercially grown
fruits are picked and shipped green and are intended to be ripened at the point
of delivery. Plums are a good example of this practice. They are full formed but
not fully ripe when you bring them home. (Ideally, you would buy tree ripened
fruit ready to eat, but this is not how commercially grown fruit is handled. A trip to
a farmer’s market is a treat when you find fully ripe and ready to eat fruit in all its
glory.) The fruit should be kept in a warm place and covered with a paper bag to
hold in the ripening gas (ethylene) that is emitted by the green fruit. The warmer
the fruit and the more gas is retained, the faster the fruit ripens.
This offers the opportunity to control the ripening speed so a relatively large
supply of fruit will not ripen all at once, the fruit that is kept cool and ventilated
will not ripen at the rate that warm and enclosed fruit will ripen. The ripening
process converts starch to sugar, the texture becomes soft and juicy, and the
acid nature of the green fruit becomes neutral. The fruit becomes aromatic and
smells’ ripe’. Then it is at its most nutritious and delicious best.
On the other hand, strawberries are not ripened by ethylene but by genes. As the
berry ages, more ripening genes are developed to accelerate the ripening
process.

FRUIT JUICE RECIPES

 Lemon~Lime Ginger Ale
 (Serves 1)
 1 apple, cored and sliced
 1/4 lemon
 1/2 inch fresh ginger (less if you find the taste too strong)
 1/2 lime
 handful of grapes
 sparkling mineral water
 Remove the grapes from the stem. Juice the apple and ginger together, then juice
the rest of the fruit. Pour the juice in a large glass and fill to the top with sparkling
water and serve with ice.

 Gingered Apple Cider
 (Serves 1)
 1 inch piece ginger
 3 apples or 1 cup apple cidar
 Process through a juicer and serve.

 Peach~Pear~Apple Juice
 (Serves 1)
 2 peaches, remove seed
 1 apple, cored and sliced
 1 pear, sliced
 Process through a juicer and serve.

 Fruit Punch
 (Serves 1)
 6 strawberries, fresh or thawed from frozen
 1 apple, cored and sliced
 1/2 orange, peeled and sectioned
 Process the fruit in a juicer and serve.

 Fruit Nectar
 1 orange, peeled and sectioned
 1/2 cup raspberries, fresh or thawed from frozen
 1 nectarine, pitted and sliced
 Process the fruit in a juicer and serve.

 Sparkling Tropical Fruit

 1 kiwi, peeled
